Teaching new words

Once a child starts talking, they begin to rapidly learn new words over several years. Here's some strategies that shows how you can support your child to learn new words. Having a large vocabulary is really important, as many studies are now showing that a the size of a child's vocabulary in kindy, is predictive of their reading and academic success in the future.
