Childcare and Kindy Services 

 

As children are spending an increasing amount of time in childcare/kindy settings, educators and staff may be the first to suspect that a child is not meeting their communication milestones. 

 

Services to early childhood centres may include:

• Speech pathology screening with children 

• Monthly newsletters about communication development with practical strategies to help

• Liaison via phone/email regarding a specific child who may be accessing speech pathology support (with parental consent)

Speech pathology screening assessments are an efficient and low cost method of identifying possible communication delays. Our experienced Speech Pathologist is able to attend your early childhood centre to offer speech and language screenings for children from 2 years and older. Screening involves completing some fun and engaging activities with each child for up to 15-2mins, to identify possible areas of weakness and whether further assessment is recommended. 

 

A minimum of three children are required to participate on the day and we will require a quiet area to meet with each child individually.
